One adult at Tirat-Tsvi 26.12.2000, another individual at Kfar-Ruppin 2.1.2001.

White-headed Duck Weisskopf-Ruderente (Oxyura leucocophala)
Fifty-five individuals at Hulda reservoir (western Judea plain) 2.1.2001. One hundred and three there at 13.1.2001.

Black Kite Schwarzmilan (Milvus migrans)
A count of 1533 at the Hula Valley 12-16-1.2001.

Black Vulture Mönchsgeier (Aegypius monachus)
One at gamla (Golan heights) 14.1.2001.

Pallid Harrier Steppenweihe (Circus macrourus)
Four individuals at Bet-Shean valley 12.2000-01.2001. Four individuals at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Common Buzzard Mäusebussard (Buteo buteo)
Seventy eight individuals were counted at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Steppe Buzzard Falkenbussard (Buteo buteo vulpinus)
Two at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Long-legged Buzzard Adlerbussard (Buteo rufinus)
Ninety three individuals at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

White-tailed Eagle Seeadler (Haliaeetus albicilla)
One immature bird at Zohar reservoir 13.1.2001. An unusual location (mid way between Tel-Aviv and Be'er-Sheva). Two juvenile at the Hula Valley (without transmitters) 12-161.2001.

Imperial Eagle Kaiseradler (Aquila heliaca)
Two individuals at Zvulun valley 2.1.2001. Nine at the north western Negev 13.1.2001. Sixteen at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Steppe Eagle Steppenadler (Aquila nipalensis)
One juvenile at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Tawny Eagle Savannenadler (Aquila rapax)
One (long stayer)
at the north western Negev 13.1.2001.

Spotted Eagle Schelladler (Aquila clanga)
Fifteen individuals at Zvulun valley 2.1.2001. Forty two at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Lesser Spotted Eagle Schreiadler (Aquila pomarina)
One at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Peregrine Wanderfalke (Falco peregrinus)
Eleven at the Hula valley 12-16.1.2001.

Saker Würgfalke (Falco cherrug)
One juvenile at Zvulun valley (western Galilee) 2.1.2001. One with jesses and another six at the north western Negev 2-13.1.2001.

Little Bustard Zwergtrappe (Tetrax tetrax)
Five individuals at Kfar-Ruppin 5.1.2001. Twenty six at the southern Golan 5.1.2001, and seven there at the 17.1.2001.

Sociable Plover Steppenkiebitz (Chettusia gregaria)
Seven individuals at Kfar-Ruppin 7.1.2001. Eight at the north western Negev 13.1.2001.

Mediterranean Gull Schwarzkopfmöwe (Larus melanocephalus)
One second year at Ashdod 5-6.1.2001.

Common Gull Sturmmöwe (Larus canus)
Fifteen individuals (14 juveniles and 1 second year)
at Ashdod 5-6.1.2001.

Audouin's Gull Korallenmöwe (Larus audouinii)
One juvenile at Ma'agan-Michael 7-15.1.2001.

Yellow-legged Gull Weisskopfmöwe (Larus cachinnans)
Three thousand individuals (1000 juveniles and 2000 adults) at Ashdod 5-6.1.2001.

Barabensis Gull (Larus cachinnans barabensis)
Fifty individuals in total at Ashdod 5-6.1.2001.

Armenian Gull Armeniermöwe (Larus armenicus)
Six hundred individuals (550 juveniles and 50 adults) at Ashdod 5-6.1.2001.

Heuglini Gull (Larus heuglini)
Three hundred and fifty individuals in total at Ashdod 5-6.1.2001.

Lesser Black-backed Gull Heringsmöwe (Larus fuscus fuscus)
One thousand and three hundred individuals in total, among them 31 colour ringed birds from Finland, at Ashdod 5-6.1.2001.

Oriental Skylark Kleine Feldlerche (Alauda gulgula)
One at Kfar-Ruppin area 3-5.1.2001.

Buff-bellied Pipit Pazifischer Wasserpieper (Anthus rubescens)
One to two individuals at Kfar-Ruppin 29.12.2000-2.01.2001. Three there 6.1.2001.

Yellow-browed Warbler Gelbbrauen-Laubsänger (Phylloscopus inornatus)
One was discovered at the botanic gardens of the Hebrew university at the scopes mountain campus, Jerusalem 5.1.2001.

Isabelline Shrike Isabellwürger (Lanius isabellinus)
Adult at Tirat-Tsvi 24.12.2000. One at Kfar-Ruppin 1-7.01.2001.

Steppe Grey Shrike Raubwürger Unterart pallidirostris (Lanius excubitor pallidirostris)
One at eastern Zvulun valley 2.1.2001. First winter record for the country.

- Note the Gull count at Ashdod - nice (though very normal) numbers of large Gulls.
